The first is to file Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, within the 90-day period before your conditional residence expires. This form can be found on the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) website. You will need to fill out the form and submit it along with the filing fee and any necessary supporting documentation. to show the viability of your mariage during the last two years.
Once you have filed the form, USCIS will send you a receipt notice and will begin to process your application. You may also receive a request for an interview depending on the circumstances of your application.
At the interview, you should bring any documents USCIS has requested, such as proof of your marital relationship, to show the validity of your marriage. It is important to be prepared for the interview and to answer any questions the officer may have.
After your interview, USCIS will either approve or deny your petition. If approved, you will receive a new 10-year green card and will no longer have conditional status. If denied, you will receive a notice of the decision and may be subject to removal proceedings.
It is important to remember that you must complete the steps outlined above in order to remove the conditions from your conditional green card. If you fail to do so, you could face removal from the U.S. or other consequences.
